Poppy

Linoleum block print, handprinted on high quality, archival, off-white Rives Lightweight cotton paper. This French paper has a smooth texture and a creamy off-white color with four deckled edges. Most of my images are heavily inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, William Morris and growing up in the Pacific Northwest. Each print is an 8x10 hand carved image on and 9x12 paper.

Due to the nature of hand inking and printing, small variations are a part of the process. But these imperfections are an important part of seeing the artist’s hand in the work, and embracing the fact that the art was made by a human artist, not printed from a machine.
